Connecting businesses

We are building connections between businesses, learners, educators, science researchers, community and Government, to help ensure a sustainable workforce and economy in New Zealand.

We are exploring opportunities to connect businesses with learners, educators, local government and the wider science sector.

Improving connections between science and technology-led businesses and learners at a regional, industry or sector level will give more learners real-world understanding of potential STEM career pathways.

This will enable more science and technology-led businesses to promote STEM careers and build early connections with future employees.

Example: Futureintech

We are changing the Futureintech programme to increase and broaden its impact:

  • Futureintech for Students: Futureintech shares the career experiences of New Zealand's technologists, engineers and scientists to help you decide if a job like theirs is right for you.
  • Futureintech for Schools: Futureintech brings Ambassadors from industry to your school to provide an engaging context for learning in maths, science, technology and careers.
  • Futureintech for Industry: Futureintech makes links with schools to promote careers and address skills shortages in New Zealand's technology, engineering and science-based industries.
