Interactive showcase – Antarctica and us
Explore Antarctica and learn about the potential impact of climate change on it and us through state-of-the-art immersive media, hands-on interactive models, and insights from scientists undertaking world-changing research on the ice.
This installation is hosted by Space Place at Carter Observatory for a whole month of Antarctica-themed experiences.

This panel discussion features four experts from Victoria University, Met Service, NIWA and the Deep South Challenge who work on climate change every day. They will be answering questions about their Antarctic research, why Antarctica is important and what their findings are telling us about climate change and New Zealand.
