Has a change in wetland vegetation resulted in a change in the abundance and diversity of aquatic macro –invertebrates and terrestrial invertebrates?

This is the next stage of the Bug ALERT! project which was successfully completed last year with Kaimata School. This will be rolled out to two new schools who are enthusiastic about being part of the science project.

They will be using the baseline information which has already been researched by Kaimata students and will develop and expand this information. This will provide authentic learning for them, plus provide the opportunity for the schools to mentor the ones following on. Working will be with Egmont Village Primary first then follow with Ratapiko school.
