Participatory Science Platform

Wanaka Lake Swimmers Club, Touchstone, Mount Aspiring College, Wanaka Primary School and expert science partners completed a water quality monitoring project in 2017. This project showed that storm water was influencing the recreational water quality in Roys Bay. In 2018 the existing community team and new partners will examine mitigating the effects of storm water from 3 major drains on the water quality of Lake Wanaka using restoration science and further targeted monitoring and education.
