Thirty-two Nissan Leafs will be monitored using automatic data recording and upload equipment to test a hypothesis that overheating causes accelerated degradation of battery energy holding capacity and range.  Calibration experiments will test instrumentation.  Individual battery care plans will be prepared for participants to prolong battery life and thereby maximise environmental and financial benefits of the electric cars.
