Unlocking Curious Minds

School students across all New Zealand are extracting chemicals from local mānuka trees, which work as natural weedkillers and antibacterials.

They are then looking at how these chemicals vary between mānuka trees growing in different parts of New Zealand.

The results will put schools "on the map" of national mānuka variation.
